The T470 was a Formula 3 design and was based on the 1976 T460 Formula Atlantic car. A single car was built and tested by the works, it competed in a couple of races driven by Patrick Bardinon with a best finish of 8th at Thruxton. However it wasn't competitive and was decided not to proceed and the car was converted back to Atlantic guise as HU460/20.
