The owner of T160 SL160/09 is Marcus Black who bought it from Tom Walker in 2021. Tom was able to trace most of the history of the car and he recounted the details below:

"SL160/09 is fitted later (probably 1970), T163 bodywork. (You see them described as T160/3 in period race reports).

Imported to the USA by Carl Haas (the Lola importer at that time), 20th September 1968. First owner unknown.

Bought by Douglas Shierson, of Adrian, Michigan, in late 1969. Shierson's first foray into racecar team ownership. As I'm sure you know, he was connected to Marathon Oil, and they are the sponsor of my car for that year. He asked Chuck Parsons to drive the car for the 1970 Can-Am series.

1970 Can-Am results:
At Mid-Ohio in August, 8th on grid, finished 4th.
Road America: 9th on grid, retired overheating.
Road Atlanta: 8th on grid, retired head gasket.
Donneybrooke: 10th on grid, retired clutch.
Laguna Seca: 7th on grid, finished sixth.
Riverside: 13th on grid, retired, clutch.

Shierson sold the car at the end of 1970, to Otto Uecker. It was driven in one Can-Am in 1970, by Oliver Jones, who also drove it in a few SCCA Sportsrace events.

Sold to John Erickson in 1972, club racing.

Sold to Dr Frank Spaeth in 1976, who converted the car to road trim. He sold the car a year later to Rod Leach in the UK. His company, Nostalgia, became well known for selling Cobras and other fast motors. Leach ran the Lola in road trim for a year or two, then it was bought by Alex Seldon, who put it back to race trim and entered it in the Atlantic Computers Historic GT Championship in 1983 to 1985. Seldon sold the car in 1985, to Peter Kaus who ran the Rosso Bianco museum in Germany. The museum hit financial trouble and the entire collection was sold in 2006. I bought the car at auction in December 2006."
